Welcome to the Mise-en-scene Crypt Discussion Board,
Mise-en-scène refers to what is "put into a scene", it is thus as much about visual composition as it is about the actors performance. What makes for a good scene? What makes for a bad scene? Whether they are good, bad, or downright terrible if you like genre movies here's the place to discuss and critique them and the literature which inspired them.
Whether you want to talk about obscure Z-grade movies or big budget mainstream blockbusters the Mise-en-scene Crypt Discussion Board welcomes you. It doesn't matter if you're a fan of horror or science fiction, noir or Eurosleaze, movies from the mainstream or the pyschotronic fringes the Mise-en-scene Crypt Forum is open to discusison of all topics relating to cinema.
The dust is still settling so please bear with us. Since this is a new board we're starting off with a few rather simple rules:
1. Hosted Forums
1.1 Moderators will be responsible for their own forums.
1.2 If you encounter a problem in a Moderated forum please contact the forum moderator. If it's a problem they can't handle then the Admin staff will
do their best to take care of the issue.
2. Posting Rules
2.1 Post on-topic.
2.2 Not be abusive or use language in violation of the host service TOS.
2.3 Post no porn. This means no hot linking to sites that replace their hosted images with porn or porn sites, period! (While artwork containing nudity is not
considered porn please refer to section 2.3.1 for post conduct.)
2.3.1 Links to sites that may contain mature content are not verboten. However, out of courtesy to those viewing the forum from work, school, a library, or
elsewhere include a warning that the linked to site or posted image may not be work safe.
2.4 Spam will NOT be tolerated. Spammers will be banned.
2.4.1 Messages about topically elated sites are permissible. However please retrain your posting to the appropriate forum, this means no mass mailings or
mass postings.
3. Have fun and enjoy your visit to the Mise-en-scene Crypt Discussion Board.
There may be more rules, if necessary, but we hope not. Of course as the board develops and encounters problems these rules will be adjusted accordingly. Until
then remember treating others how you'd want to be treated will keep most "mis-understandings" from spiraling out of control.
Kind Regards,
Kester Pelagius
